Queens heap misery on Morton
Young striker Gavin Reilly scored his third goal of the campaign as Queen of the South cruised to a 2-0 victory over basement club Morton.
Queens took the lead in the sixth minute when Reilly nodded Daniel Carmichael's superb cross into the back of the net from middle of the box.
The hosts doubled their lead in the 18th minute when Ian McShane drilled the ball past Morton goalkeeper Derek Gaston from the edge of the area.
Archibald Campbell fired over from the edge of the box while Jonathan Page prodded wide from close range as the visitors tried to stage a recovery.
But they were unable to avoid an eighth league defeat of the season and remain rooted to the bottom of the table.
