Morton Reserves beat their Stenny counterparts 3-1 last night in a fairly scrappy encounter. Stenhousemuir went 1-0 up through former Morton forward Kevin Struthers, before John Adam levelled the game after half time with a powerful free-kick. Iain Diack then atoned for an earlier miss - and made a possible case to start for the first team against Arbroath - with a header to put the 'Ton in front. Then, Kenny McLean hit a low drive to put the result beyond doubt.
Morton's next Reserve fixture is the grudge fixture against St. Mirren reserves, which is scheduled to take place at Cappielow on Monday the 7th of November at 7:30pm.
