Jason Walker this morning signed a year's contract at Cappielow after impressing boss John McCormack in recent friendlies. Goals against Lossiemouth and Clachnacuddin, together with his convincing performance against Viewfield, were enough to earn the 20 year old a twelve month deal.
It is not known if Walker has been signed as a first choice forward or as a squad player. With Williams, Weatherson, Hawke, Diack and McAllister all able to fill the striker's position, there is certainly enough competition for the place. This is in sharp contrast to last season, when Hawke found himself injured, and just McAllister and Cannie provided real cover for the front line.
