Second Consecutive Clean Sheet

Following Morton's 3-0 win over Dumbarton, the team completed the feat of going 180 minutes without losing a goal. This is par for the course for most teams who came close to promotion one year ago and are tipped to do so again, but in fact this is a feat that was not managed at all last season, even allowing for "given" clean sheets such as the Vale of Leithen match. In fact, last time Morton's defence proved so resilient was all the way back in 2003, when they famously won their final five games without conceding a single goal in the process.

Of course, one of the clean sheets came in a victory over Gretna on Tuesday; the real test will maintaining defensive superiority for our next league game against Ayr United at Somerset. Tuesday's match against Motherwell is perhaps a step too far!
