Dundee's interim manager Barry Smith will look to make it six games in a row without defeat under his stewardship.
Smith has injury concerns over one unnamed player but no clues were being given out to his identity.
Morton manager Allan Moore: "(Groundsman) Mark (Farrell) has put a huge effort in to make the pitch playable and apart from a very slight layering of frost it is like a bowling green.
"It would be good if the boys go out and earn him the three points as a reward."
Dundee manager Barry Smith: "Morton will be well organised and full of energy and we have to match that."
