With Stranraer having won both SFL Division Two Manager of the Month, and SFL Young Player of the Month, they wasted no time in adding to their impressive tally of two trophies by producing another pair: a second defeat of the season. Other than a turnaround at Cappielow earlier in the season, the Stair Park side were undefeated until today's ignominious 4-1 spanking against Brechin City. The Blues were today the only side in the upper half of the table that failed to win, narrowing the gap at the top to only one point.
Greenock Morton's 3-0 away win over Neil Inglis' dodgy gloves - sorry, Arbroath - keeps us in the runnings, but the pressure is mounting as Ayr United showed considerable character to overcome an unfortunate Alloa Athletic team 4-3 at Somerset Park. Stirling Albion remain in third place following a 3-1 victory over Paul Tosh FC (also known as Forfar Athletic), meanwhile Sandy Clark's Berwick Rangers continue to blunder along, this time losing at "Strathclyde Homes Stadium" (also known as The Rock) against Dumbarton.
